Compatible Webcams
This section helps you identify the webcam that Air Cam supports.
The best way to check the compatibility of your webcam is to
simply download and install the Air Cam for Windows/Mac software.
If you see the preview video from the Air Cam for Windows/Mac
software, then your webcam is supported.
Mac OS X Leopard
In general, Air Cam is compatible with the built-in
iSight webcam on any version of Macbook.
Support of external webcam (USB and
Firewire)
varies depending on webcam types:
1. If your webcam has native Mac supports (for example, if the webcam works
with iChat on Mac OS X), it should also work with Air Cam.
2. If your webcam does not support Mac, there is a chance that
you can still make it work using the free open-source webcam driver
called Macam. Please check their
list
of supported webcams. Simply download and install the driver
from their website.
Please note while Air Cam works with the Macam driver, the
performance will depend on individual driver implementation.
With certain webcam models, you might experience slow framerate/lags.
For best performance, we recommend webcams with native Mac support.

Windows XP/Vista
Air Cam supports most webcams under XP and Vista. To check
the compatibility of your webcam, simply download and install the
Air Cam for Windows software. If you see the preview video
from the Air Cam for Windows software, then your webcam is
supported.
