Ad Hoc Connection on Mac OS X

If you do not have a share Wi-Fi network available (for instance, you are taking your Macbook and your iPhone on the road), you can still use Air Cam by establishing a direct (ad hoc) network connection.


Step 1

From Airport settings, select "Create Network"



Step 2

Give a name to your network, say "Air Cam", and click "OK".



Step 3

On your iPhone/iPod Touch, go to Settings -> Wireless




Step 4

Turn on wireless and select the connection "Air Cam"



Step 5

Start Air Cam on your iPhone/iPod.  You should see your host PC listed with the tag "Direct connection using Bonjour."
