Air TV (Mono or Color)
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. What kind of video quality would I get from Air TV?
A. Because the network bandwidth limitation, the
audio/video feed over the network has to be heavily compressed.
Please try the free Air TV Mono app to get a feel of the quality
expected. If you don't like the quality, remember it costs you
nothing.
Q. It seems like Air TV can't pick up the TV signal
captured by my TV tuner. What can I do?
A. Currently, Air TV only supports analog TV
capture and ATSC digital TV. You may also use an external digital-to-analog conversion box
and let Air TV captures the signal from the conversion box.
Because of the large number of different TV tuner models out there
in the market, It is also likely Air TV might not work well with
your particular model. In this case, please email us
(support@senstic.com) with the make/model of your tuner.
Q. Air TV on my PC freezes sometimes. What is going
on?
A. Please make sure your PC has sufficient
resource to run Air TV. In general, you will need a reasonably
powerful computer to run Air TV. An Intel Core2Duo (or
equivalent) based system with 1GB memory should be sufficient.
If problem persists, try closing other programs on your computer to
free up system resource.
Q. Will Air Cam support connection using non-shared Wi-Fi
or 3G networks?
A. In most cases your home
network has a DSL/Cable router that is responsible for routing the
network traffics in and out of your home network. In order for
your TV signal data to be viewable outside your home network, you will
need to configure your router to do port forwarding
on TCP 1728.
Unfortunately, there are zillions of different routers/switches
out there, and it is impossible for us to provide instructions to
every one of them. We will, however, provide the instructions
for a number of common routers/switches as a reference.

your network.
